My name is Ryan Sanderson, and I am one of the founding members of Vintage Clothing Guides!
Our Story
It all began during our university days, where a passion for unique fashion led us on countless adventures through charity shops and vintage kilo sales. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a thriving pursuit as we uncovered incredible pieces that told their own stories.
Spending most of our university years hopping from one charity shop to another, we amassed a collection of timeless treasures. With an eye for style and a knack for finding hidden gems, we began selling our extra finds on platforms like Depop and eBay. To our delight, our Depop sales soared, catching the attention of the Depop team. They invited us to meet their London-based team and connect with other passionate sellers on the platform.
That visit was a turning point. Conversations with fellow sellers revealed that to truly turn our passion into a sustainable business, we needed a reliable supplier and a larger inventory. Determined to take the next step, a friend and I boarded a plane to Naples. There, we immersed ourselves in the vibrant markets and sprawling warehouses, searching for the perfect supplier to help us scale our vintage clothing store.
For three years, we operated our online shop, successfully selling thousands of pieces and building a loyal community of vintage enthusiasts. Along the way, we deepened our knowledge of vintage fashion and forged connections with countless like-minded individuals who share our love for timeless style.
